Lesson #1...Never drive in LA without a GPS

Having survived the flight (which didnt have a free seat except in the loo), in a moment of jetlagged insanity we drove a Dodge Charger around the freeways of LA in complete confusion and occassional terror. Coming back to our senses (and Hertz) we got a smaller car with GPS and made it to our destination ... Bartlets Harley Davidson, Marina Del Ray.

With a car, and a nights sleep, we've been to Crenshaw and Malibu (just to see the extreme ends of LA), passed the Le Brea Tar Pits at night and the Resivoir Dogs cafe. Today Tony struck up a conversation and got biker bar tips from actor Ricky Shroeder ('the Champ'). We hit Venice beach this morning, Santa Monica yesterday and apparently ate in one of LA's top 10 diners last night.

Our couch surfing started well when Bec mixed up the address, with a door answered 'Steve who???'. All worked out well, and we have a bed with a buffulo skin on it bigger than us both (sorry Sarah!).

Thanks for all the birthday well wishes for Tony! We are working out the phone and should email a number out tomorrow for those who need/want it. Until next time, take care and lots of super sized luvvvvv xox T& B
