Just arrived in Albuquerque after a loooooong drive. Along the way we stopped off at the World’s largest piece of Petrified Wood and, of course, Winslow Arizona. The distances are bigger than we first expected and there is so much to see. We will back-track some parts (like Gallup) which we didnt get to make. We found our new adode style ‘couch’ whose owners are wonderful people -- a retired Colonel Dan and his gorgeous wife Vikki, who was the first woman to qualify for a combat squadron in the US. We ate stuffed jalpenos with their friends under the cabanna and feel very ‘Santa Fe’. Tommorrow we are off to Old Town and then to a Hawaiian themed wedding reception with Dan, Vikki and their friend Alan (who is hilarious). We are having a blast as we travel down Route 66 and its been go, go, gomez... xoxo T & B
